Cliff Claven Moment of the Day

Hey Norm, did you know that in the original version of the 12 days of Christmas, it wasn't talking about four calling birds? Its a little known fact that indeed it was four "Colley" birds. Colley bird is another name for black bird. Colley means as black as coal, as in collier or colliery.

Just thought I'd share that just in case you are ever on Jeopardy.

Merry Christmas!

You knew this HOW? Good gravy, how do you find the time to get such trivial info? I will repeat it today, you know that dont you?

Enjoy your day,

Our children's program is sunday and I thought it was a misprint in the bulletin until I looked at the script. That's what the script said, so I then did a google search. There it was - Colley Bird.

If you tell me it's supposed to be "two turtlenecks" a la Bob & Doug Mackenzie, I'm calling the Bishop.

All I'm going to say is... "FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!" Only your sister, Barb, would get this. haha But, thank you, Mr. Claven for the insight... I'll now have a tidbit that my "Claven-like" hubby doesn't have and I'll spring it on him like a cat... and soon! (evil grin)

BTW, I'll never be ON Jeopardy, but I've often been IN Jeopardy.
